DIY Recycled Newspaper Bird’s Nest Lampshade Tutorial. This is really easy but you need patience rolling up the newspaper (but really no cutting up into small pieces). Tutorial from WCC Designs here.

DIY Ribbon Fish. Inspiration: I spotted this photo (top) and used google image search to find out it was from Etsy here. Apparently the hair clip was only $2.50, so why make it? But alas, as in so many Etsy cases, it’s no longer for sale. But I loved this idea for a Holiday or birthday present and found a tutorial for it (so happy) at Love My Tapes here. Just glue a backing on and you’re done. So cute. *Note: Etsy Clip made with 3” Grosgrain ribbon fish attached to a 1 3/4” alligator clip.

Plush Doll Castiel from Supernatural. I originally used to have as part of “about me” that I loved True Blood and Supernatural, so you can imagine how my heart skipped a beat when I saw this! This plush doll was created by Alexz of Spooky Pooky Creations here as part of a Craftster swap. Castiel’s wings are attached with velcro so they can come off and there’s stubble on his face.
